The NIGF holds at least three events per year across different locations in the North of England and Scotland. These events are open to anyone working in Data Protection and IT Security and provide a forum for networking and learning more about how other organisations are implementing improvements in this area.
Events usually last half a day and are themed around a specific topic area. In addition, online webinars and networking opportunities will also take place between face to face events.
Here’s a list of our planned events. Seats are limited so if you would like to attend, sign up by clicking on the Eventbrite link (when it is available) in the event description.
For our last webinar of 2020, NIGF is pleased to welcome David Case, Data Privacy Insight Specialist and Kathryn Cardose, Head of Cyber Security Operations to talk about the recent data breaches at British Airways and Marriott, which led to significant fines from the ICO. This session will give members the opportunity to learn more about these breaches and discuss the information security considerations these breaches have highlighted. If you would like to attend this free event, which will be held on Thursday 10th December at 2pm, but are not yet a member of NIGF please get in touch via [email protected]
